Beekeepers should be aware that a hive was stolen from an out apiary containing five hives sometime over the last few weeks . The hive is distinctive in as much as it has a plywood pitched roof and an unusual sloping varroa floor.
The apiary is near Prescot. Check any out apiaries. With the high demand for bees and the last few poor years this was expected. Stay alert!
