Sad News

One of our long standing members John Tipping died on Monday .He was a beekeeper who loved to pass on his knowlege of bees to others and a very loyal member of the branch.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday 8th February at 3pm at Walton Lea Crematorium, Walton, Warington.
All will be welcome.

New Beekeepers Training Courses 2011

There are three beginners courses in beekeeping being run by the Liverpool Branch in 2011.

 

  • Course A Saturday Jan 22nd and Saturday Jan 29th at Croxteth Country Park, 10am to 4pm each day.
  • Course B Saturday March 26th and Saturday April 2nd at Blackburne House Liverpool, 10am to 4pm each day.
  • Course C An evening course of six Wednesday nights on March 2nd,March 9th,March 16th,March 23rd March 31st and April 6th. All sessions 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the home of Arthur Gillette 41 Radley Drive Old Roan.L10 3LG [0151 5316685]

The cost of each course is £65.00 which includes the annual subscription of £22.00 for membership of the Liverpool Beekeepers.This membership covers your third party and products liability insurance from the BBKA. You will be given a certificate on completion of the course.
All the courses cover the same basic beekeeping knowledge and a session of handling bees will be given to each course member as part of the course once the bees are flying in April /May.
