Membership of the BBKA (British BeeKeeping Association) is all part of becoming a member of your local beekeeping association. Each class available comes with varying benefits and conditions so pick the one that is most suitable to you!
Insurance is provided by the BBKA to its members to cover Public Liability and Product Liability. A summary of the cover for shows or farmers markets can be obtained from the members area of the BBKA Website or from the National Beekeeping Centre at Stoneleigh. In brief the cover is as follows
Public Liability Members of the BBKA are covered to a limit of £5 million for any one incident against action arising from their beekeeping activities. There is an excess of £500 for any claims that relate to Third Party Property
Product Liability Members of the BBKA are covered to a limit of £5 million in any one year and any one incident. This covers claims arising from the provision of beekeeping products. There is an excess of £500 for any claims that relate to Third Party Property

We hold monthly meetings with talks on various aspects of beekeeping from visiting speakers and practical beekeeping demonstrations. You will also have the opportunity to meet fellow apiarists and share knowledge or ask advice.
